the plan

now after researching different ideas for doing an alternative beauty shoot and i have now gathered some ideas of my own to produce this myself.

sugar: i found an image were what looked like sugar was used on a models lips and i thought this looked really interesting. i have have allot of fun in my kitchen creating sugar that is every colour of the rainbow. i plan to use these as lip stick, eye shadow and may add it to the eye brows and will be sticking them to my models face using lip gloss as i have tested it on my self and it works very effectively.

hundreds and thousands: i am very prepared to make a mess when doing this. i intend to cover a models lips and have a shot of her licking her lips and exposing her teeth. again i will use lip gloss here.

ultra fine glitter: i have two different colours of this and i plan to have one shot with it on the eyes of the model and another shot with it on the lips and cheeks of the model.

coloured gems: i have a very special idea for what i want to do with the gems wich has been inspired by my geisha project. i intent to create make up simylar to geisha make up but do it using coloured gems. this is the shot i am most excited about.


i think that for these shots i am going to have all my models with their hair back very tight so that it is out of the way, i may add a french braid to the hair to add a bit of texture. i will not be needing any outfits for this shoot as i only want to show the face and bare neck and shoulders and. i also want to have the models hands featuring in the shots, i think this will add a little more elegance to the images.

i am going to later be testing out all these ideas and will be documenting them and posting my results. i am aware that i am in danger of maby making my images look tacky and harsh but through my research i have found that it is possible to do this and still allow the models to look beautiful, feminin and have a softness to them.
